Exploring the 3 Core Strands of Mosaic
Welcome to the first Mosaic People blog!
It’s been a busy couple of months since I launched the website back in May, working with new and existing clients on a range of ‘people related’ topics, covering the three core strands of Mosaic:
HR Consultancy
In the consultancy space I have been busy working on talent management and recruitment. Helping customers build and maintain their talent pools; working with them to attract and retain talented people, who crucially are a great match for their culture.
For some customers this has meant running their entire recruitment and selection campaigns end to end. For others, I have assisted with selection, communication and bringing their new hire onboard.
Also on the consultancy side, I have been looking at performance management; specifically working with customers who are keen to move away from the traditional appraisal models to something much more employee-led and motivational that focuses on feedback and coaching.
Whenever I am working on building and designing performance management processes, the key starting point for me is the culture within the client’s business.
Exploring ‘what it’s really like to work here’ and then thinking about any other performance measures already in operation across the business… that way I can ensure that the method of managing people performance is complementary, rather than something that feels like a boring HR chore!
People Development
Across in the people development and coaching side of the business, it has been my pleasure to design and facilitate some bespoke workshops on the topics of communication and feedback.
I have run a two-day series of management workshops for an awesome team of leaders focusing on personal development and relationship building using Leading Energy Profiling, holding effective conversations, accountability and goal setting and performance management.
Using the Leading Energy Profile tool has led to some amazing breakthroughs with both workshop delegates and individual coaching clients.
Coaching
As a self-assessment coaching tool, Leading Energy gives us the power of insight into understanding our dominant thinking energy and crucially to understand how this thinking energy influences our behaviour.
As we build self-awareness and understand why we think the way we do, we can then begin to consider how we might want to choose to adapt our behaviour. For example, how to tune into and ‘read’ the styles of others to achieve more effective relationships and communications.
Designed to be simple and intuitive to understand, Leading Energy uses a memorable yet straightforward metaphor of parts of the body to describe the different thinking styles.
Workshops can be run with groups as a half-day team development session or as part of a wider personal development programme.
